Justice Faez Isa case demands complete impartiality, total transparency – Hashmat Habib

Justice Faez Isa’s Petition challenging the reference filed by President may take drastic affects upon Imran Khan Regime to exit if Supreme Court proceeds as per precedents laid down by it. Hashmat Habib President Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Adlia commented on the resignation of Attorney General Anwar Mansoor and contradictory statements of Government officials.

He said the credibility of judiciary lies in complete impartiality, total transparency, adhering to the established principles of dispensation of justice without fear and favour, without giving any impression of inclination towards either of the parties.

The senior lawyer of Supreme Court said cases like Nehal Hashmi and many others have attained finality; same principles do attract the cases of Farrukh Naseem, Shehzad Akbar, as well as President Arif Alvi and PM Imran Khan.

He said this complicated issue has become talk of the town and it will be difficult for the Supreme Court to dispose of it without taking stern action against the persons involved in allegations to ridicule the judiciary.

Hashmat Habib said under Article 4 of the constitution all citizens are equal before law. They are to be dealt in accordance with law to enjoy the protection of law and to be treated in accordance with law is the inalienable right of every citizen.

We cannot prosper without rule of law which demands equal treatment with all may be President, Prime Minister, Law Minister, Attorney General or officials in power, Hashmat Habib added.
