Madrassas are at the forefront in bringing welfare to masses

Due to lockdown in the country working class especially daily wage workers and the poor are severely affected. Even though the Government is taking steps and has announced some relief packages the severely affected and rightfully needy are still without assistance. Amid this situation of crisis, along with the Military Institutions, Islamic Institutions including masajid, madrassas and scholars are playing a front part and center in distributing and delivering aid and relief packages to every house in need.

Sheikh Zakariya Trust of Islamabad, holds international registration due to many years of record services, has provided thousands of families in Punjab, KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Balochistan (Quetta) and Sindh with rations, masks and sanitizers and the series is still underway. Al- Khidmat and Bait-us-Salam Trust are distributing relief packages across the country with fervor in addition to Ansar-ul-Islam, a sub-religious trust of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam.

In Karachi Jamia Suffah, Aalmi Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nubuwwat, Mahad-ul-Khalil, Jamia Yahya Al Madni aren’t any farther away from this cause, and have distributed aid to thousands of families. In Sukkur, Jamia Masjid Railway Station which is working under Shaikh Zakariya Trust is distributing rations in huge numbers. In Bahawalpur Mufti Ikram Ullah Arfi subordinates under Sheikh Zakariya Trust have contributed in distributing aid to hundreds of families. Religious Scholars from Karachi specially recognized religious leader Mufti Abdul Sattar Founder and Head Bait-us-Salam Trust, Religious Scholar Mufti Khursheed Ahmed Khursheed, Mufti Zubair Vice Chancellor Jamia Suffah, Maulana Ilyas Madni Chancellor Mahad-ul-Khalil, Maulana Yousuf Madni Chancellor Jamia Yahya Al Madni, Mufti Adnan Founder and Administrator Khanqah Azizia Chishtia whereas Maulana Abdul Rasheed from Sukkur are all at the forefront in contributing to these welfare services.

Religious scholars have also attained and acquired utmost respect, trust and faith from the public; whereas a section of population has little to no faith in the federal and provincial government bodies due to their purpose of procurement and counterfeiting actions (hoarding and corruption in the case of dam funds etc.)

The existence of masajid, madrassas, and religious institutions in every nook and corner of the country the network of religious scholars is very strong, and adding to this is the fact that no one doubts this religious sector for accumulation or hoarding of funds, fraud or even corruption, therefore the public has high hopes and more faith in this religious sector. Even after the imposing of restrictions on offering prayers, welfare work and services are still in process in full swing in masajid all around the country.
